SMOOTHIES

IN PRODUCTION

Following a mass extinction event, human society is rebuilt under strict regulation, helmed exclusively by [a board of] women; aviation, digital communication, and unapproved birth are made illegal, only a handful of adjustments made by "Perfect World" in its pursuit of an analogue-only society.

Joe and Bob are new to Perfect World. In a journey to recover their own home and identities, the two happen upon it, quickly deemed biological contaminants and detained. Here they discover a bizarre [secret]: in an attempt to genetically erase violence from the human condition, a new and superseding human has been born. Devoid of hair and genitalia, they are known colloquially as "Smoothies."

The film is shot in classic Hollywood fashion (35mm anamorphic), its beginnings dating back to February of 2002. Over the years, a multitude of scenes have been gathered, building toward a final vision--as long as they don't involve principal actors. The aim is to find the appropriate talent and funding after its concept is proven, earning confidence in the filmmakers and story. Many of the props have already been constructed (including a futuristic cop motorcycle, military uniforms, sci-fi weaponry, and other transportation), all ready to share with the world. The final production plan includes unique locations such as Arcosanti (north of Phoenix, AZ) and Wasteland Weekend in Edwards, CA.

When the film is released, it will wear a truly unique title with pride: "30 years in the making."
